Music Project: Instruments for an African Concert (AG 42-43)-
The book mentioned several different types of African instruments, but I chose just one that would be simple to use. We decorated our paper plates with glitter glue and then stapled them together with beans & lentils inside.
I tried to find a good YouTube video of ancient African dancing with shakers and other musical instruments where the dancers were wearing masks like the ones we made. There were a few decent ones but none where the masks were exactly right. You can search on your own to try to find some (be cautious-- some had a little nudity-- we're talking about African tribal dancers, here).
