Week 16: S for Snow


Day 1:

- Calendar Time: month, day of the week, date & season. Trace today's date or color the square on the Monthly Calendar. Circle the weather on the Weather Page. Begin to memorize the months of the year. Sing the Months Song. Use this Chart to help! Review #3-6.

- Introduce letter S. Color/ Dot the S's (Part 1)

Uppercase/ Lowercase S for Snowman sorting.

- Color & cut out the Words that Begin with S Mini Book to place in a Pocket Chart for review.

- Play the "Sorting & Graphing Game" Shown on Day 1 of my Preschool Math Unit to introduce this new concept.

- My First School Book, pg. 26-27 (E)



Day 2:

- Calendar Time (same as Day 1). Review Letter S words.

- Introduce #7. Say the 7 Number Rhyme. Put 7 stickers on the 7 Template. Color the #7 Coloring Page.

- Use Snowman Number Cards 1-7 with Snowflake Counters.

- Letter S Coloring Page

- Practice graphing with the Roll & Count Graphing Game (Tot Pack).

- Make this Puffy Paint Snowman Art project.

- Quiet Time Activity: Practice writing letters & numbers in a tray of shaving cream "snow."
