Click any of the links above to find a Unit Study that I've designed (and usually tried with my own kids) just for homeschool families like you! This is a work in progress, so none of the units are completely finished, but hopefully you can find something you can use with your own family!

2015 Solar Eclipse

Activity 1: Solar Eclipse Demonstration

Supplies:
- Globe
- Tennis Ball
- Flashlight

Shine the flashlight on the globe to demonstrate how when half the world is lit during the day, the other half is lit and it’s night. Then use the tennis ball to demonstrate how the moon rotates around the earth. Continue to shine the flashlight and maneuver the ball in such a way that it blocks the light and creates an eclipse.
