Click any of the links above to find a Unit Study that I've designed (and usually tried with my own kids) just for homeschool families like you! This is a work in progress, so none of the units are completely finished, but hopefully you can find something you can use with your own family!

Intro. to Physics (CC Cycle 2)

Target Age/ Grade: 1st-3rd Grade

Books Needed:
Homeschoolcollection.com- Physical Science (free online)

Time Required:
12 weeks @ 2 days/ week

Overview:
I do not claim to know much about Physics or even science in general, at all! I have simply compiled information from people who do know about these things in such a way that my kids can gain a basic understanding. This unit was created to go along with Classical Conversations Cycle 2 science, Weeks 13-24. I did it with a 1st & 3rd grader, but you could probably cater it to older or younger kids. We do science 2 days a week-- reading one day & hands-on experiments another. You could easily combine these into one long science day or spread it out over 4 or 5 days.

Week 1- States of Matter

Week 2- Acids vs. Bases
